2. Service Details.
(a) Coverage is for snow blowing from snow falls and excludes any ice build up or freezing rain.
(b) 'Snow Removal' or 'Snow Blowing' entails relocating snow within your property, not removing it to a different address.
(c) Snow removal is up to 15 cm (2.5”) from driveway sides or markers and 61 cm (24”) from garage doors. Client agrees that any snow left behind in those areas will be the client's responsibility.

3. Coverage Limit.
The service is limited to 300 cm (118”), as recorded at the Ottawa Airport.

4. Timing and Storm Sizes.
Depending on forecasted snow amounts, our response time may vary.
For small snowfalls, (5-10 cm) or accumulated snow falls that reach 5 cm or more, operations will commence during daylight hours, after the snow stops.
For larger storm events, once 7cm has fallen we will commence operations, you will receive an initial pass, with a follow up visit after another 7cm has fallen. We aim for a pass every 10 cm, with larger events possibly requiring up to 4 visits. Timing on when we begin operations will depend on the timing of the storm, when necessary, we will work overnight to have your driveway open for the morning.

5. Trees, Shrubs & Lawns.
Clients ensure driveways are free of branches and protruding shrubs, with trees pruned up to 10’ high or more.
If you need help pruning your trees, please refer to ‘Elite Tree Services’ for a free estimate at: kanatatree.net
Client agrees we are not responsible for trees, shrubs or lawns and agrees to take their own necessary steps to protect their trees & plants.

6. Driveway Obstructions.
Clients agree to keep driveways clear of portable obstacles such as downspouts, cables, flower pots, garbage cans and basketball nets.
The contractor is not responsible for any portable objects.
7. Vehicles.
Where possible, clients must relocate their own vehicles from their driveway before snow removal commences in your area. Tractors are GPS-equipped; responsibility rests with clients to move vehicles before we arrive in your street.
If you have a vehicle in your driveway, we cannot remove snow any closer than 56 cm / 24”.
In the event of a large snowfall, depending on timing, we may work overnight. Should more accumulated snow (over 5cm) occur the following day, we will return for another pass.

8. Safe Conduct.
(a) For your safety, clients agree that all household members, including pets will stay indoors or at least 20 meters, 66’ away from snow removal operations.
(b) Clients agree not to cause any distraction, they should not approach or flag down the operators. Any queries should be communicated to our office by our website chat group or by text message, email, or phone.

Possible Surcharges

9. Exceeding 300 cm.
Should the winter snowfall exceed 300 cm, you will be invoiced a modest surcharge at the end of the season.
Extra coverage is billed at the amount you pay before tax, divided by 300 cm of snow.

Example 1
If you paid (before tax) $350. Divide $350 / 300 cm = 1.17
10 cm of extra snow falls, you pay: 10 cm x 1.17 = $11.17

Example 2
If you paid (before tax) $475. Divide $475 / 300 cm = 1.58
10 cm of extra snow falls, you pay: 10 cm x 1.58 = $15.80
